Cutimed® Sorbact® Round Swab

is a sterile, hydrophobic microbe binding wound dressing. It consists of a green Sorbact® wound contact layer shaped to a spherical swab, held together by a silicone ring.

Intended Purpose

Indications: Cutimed® Sorbact® Round Swab is suitable for wound cleansing or as wound filler in the management of clean, contaminated, colonized or infected exudating wounds, such as minor cavity wounds.

Wear time: Should the clinical condition allow, the dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days.

Sorbact® Technology dressings irreversibly bind and remove adhered hydrophobic microbes3,  without the release of active agents to the wound. Development of bacterial or fungal resistance is not expected.

How to use

Image showing how to apply Cutimed® Sorbact® Round Swab
1. Prepare the wound and surrounding skin according to local clinical practice.
2. Remove the dressing from the pouch using an aseptic technique.
3. In cavity wounds, apply the dressing in such way to ensure direct contact with the complete wound surface.
4. Apply an appropriate secondary dressing.
5. The dressing change frequency depends on exudate levels and the overall condition of the wound and surrounding skin. Should the clinical condition allow, the dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days.
How to Remove
Should the dressing adhere to the wound, moisten or soak the dressing to assist removal and avoid disruption of the healing wound.
