Cutimed® Sorbion® Carbon+

is a sterile, hydroactive, gel-forming, superabsorbent wound dressing that offers effective and long-lasting reduction of wound-related odors. This is based on the dual action of activated carbon as well as naturally occurring minerals.

  • Outstanding absorption capacity
  • Odor control
  • Social reintegration

Intended Purpose

Indications: Cutimed Sorbion Carbon+ is intended for the treatment of wounds with moderate to excessive exudate levels such as decubitus, ulcus cruris, diabetic foot ulcers and other wounds healing through secondary intention, oozing laparotomy wounds, fistulas to the skin, exulcerating carcinomas, postoperative wound dehiscence and similar exuding wounds.

Wear time: Cutimed Sorbion Carbon+ can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation of wound dressing. It is recommended to change the dressing every 24 hours initially, moving to less frequent changes as necessary. A completely soaked dressing must always be avoided.

Odor control

Long-lasting, sustainable reduction of wound odor through an innovative Carbon+ combination of activated carbon and zeolite. Approximately 16 times lower odor concentration after 24 hours compared to the average odor concentration of selected products from competitors1.2.

Symbol showing three connected people that stand for social re-integration

Social reintegration

Helps patients to return to social life by reducing their burden caused by strong wound malodor.
