Cutimed® Siltec® Heel 3D

is a silicone coated, sterile, absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with superabsorbent stripes to additionally absorb and lock wound exudate. The wound contact surface allows adherence to the periwound skin but not to the moist wound bed or newly formed epithelial tissue.

Intended Purpose

Indications: The Cutimed Siltec Heel 3D is indicated for exuding wounds such as: venous and arterial ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical incisions, skin grafts and donor sites, lacerations or abrasions. 

Wear time: Cutimed Siltec Heel 3D can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation of wound dressing. It is recommended to change the dressing every 24 hours initially, moving to less frequent changes as necessary.

How to use

1. Clean the wound and your hands according to good clinical practice. If you are unsure how to clean the wound appropriately, please contact your health care professional for further instructions.
2. Make sure, the surrounding skin is dry.
3. Make sure that Cutimed Siltec Heel (3D) covers the wound and overlaps the wound edges. (A)
4. Open the pouch and take out the dressing. Please ensure, that the pouch is not opened or damaged.
5. Remove protective film (B) and apply with the adherent side towards the wound. (C)
6. Avoid stretching the dressing.
7. For fixation of the dressing on the heel it is recommended to use the attached fixation strips. If necessary, apply additional dressing fixation.
8. Cutimed Siltec Heel (3D) may be used on in infected wound in addition to antimicrobial therapy under medical supervision.
9. If necessary, Cutimed Siltec Heel (3D) can be used in combination with other dressings e.g. Cutimed Sorbact (in case of infected wounds) or hydrogel (for dry, necrotic wounds).
10. Cutimed Siltec Heel (3D) can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and exudate levels. It is recommended to change the dressing every 24 hours initially,moving to less frequent changes as necessary.
How to Remove
11. Carefully remove any additional dressing fixation and gently remove Cutimed Siltec Heel 3D from the wound and discard.
12. If required, cleanse the wound prior to application of a new dressing.
